As a few of you know already, I spent the past week or so moving… no, not to South Korea (at least not yet), just across town to a nicer apartment complex. Getting the internet hooked up over here has been some DRAMA… first of all, Time Warner couldn’t even send a guy out here until we had been here for an entire week, and then the girl that they sent turned out to be… well, possibly retarded, I’m not quite sure what her deal was. She basically told us that someone had spliced into our cable and fucked us over to the point that we would have to use dial-up in order have ANY internet access at all. So she hooked that up for us, and then told us it’d be two to three WEEKS before a contractor could come out and fix the cable for us. Um, ew. I said yes, but then we called the company and told them that if they really put us out of internet for an entire MONTH, we’d have no choice but to switch services as my job requires internet access. So they told us they’d send someone out within two days.

Of course, the day before he was supposed to show up, even the dial-up stopped working, so we were even MORE pissed off than before.

Here’s where it gets either hilarious or annoying, depending on how you look at it. The contractor took one look at the cable hookups, and called the company to yell at them. Apparently, there was nothing wrong with the cable, the girl was just a GIANT FUCKING IDIOT and tried to connect our cable to the DirectTV connections & box, or whatever it is that DirectTV uses. Once he switched everything over to the correct, Time Warner hookups, everything worked beautifully.

All in all, it took something like 15 days to get our cable & internet hooked up properly. Ugh. I HAD TO MISS THE TOP CHEF FINALE, OMG! Although, since Bravo reruns the fuck out of their shows, it was on literally like 5 minutes after the cable got turned on. And as much as I completely adore Richard - he was my pick within, like, the first 5 minutes of the first episode - Stephanie was probably the only one, other than Dale, that I felt could really compete with him… so her winning was pretty awesome, in my eyes. I also loved that we got to see Dale in the last 5 minutes of the finale, looking pretty much like the hottest thing ever in a nice suit. To quote Annie, that is one fine piece of Filipino ass, my friends.

Suzie and I watched all of Top Chef Chicago last week. Dale hella fiiioooonnnee, but it’s cause I can see myself in him. I could never date Filipinos, I would feel like I was making out with myself or a cousin, haha
